Please join us in congratulating Bryan Melvin, Cole Hamey, and Laurie Borchert for their promotion to Director.

Bryan Melvin, Director l Electrical

Since joining TBA in 2006, Bryan Melvin has steadily advanced to Retail Studio Manager, Associate and now Director through his strong leadership and client management skills.  Much of his success can be attributed to the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the tasks he tackles each day. He has excelled at fostering client relationships with his strong presence at meetings and his extensive travel across the country to hundreds of job sites.  Bryan has successfully managed many clients and programs over the years and provided invaluable mentorship to younger staff and interns.  In addition to these contributions, Bryan has also played an integral role in developing department and company-wide standards and procedures.  We are excited to have Bryan join our talented group of Directors.

Cole Hamey, PE, PhD, Director l Structural

Since joining TBA in 2007 as an EIT, Cole Hamey has obtained his PE license and assumed the role of Structural Senior Project Manager. Cole’s diverse project experience with TBA includes healthcare, commercial and educational projects. Cole has shown himself to be a leader and mentor for the structural interns and design engineers and a technical leader for the structural group.  Cole has always shown a willingness to assist other engineers when they are faced with a difficult task to ensure projects are delivered on time and accurate.  Cole’s dedication, leadership, and hard work are why he is promoted to Director at TBA.

Laurie Borchert, LEED AP, Director l Electrical

Laurie Borchert has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership since joining TBA in 2001. Her involvement with management decisions regarding company policies and staff development has been of tremendous value to the firm and to her peers. She is highly respected for her rational thinking and commitment to excellence in the performance of her duties. In addition, Laurie’s strong organizational and communication skills have enabled her to serve as point contact for some of our most challenging projects. As our first LEED accredited professional, she has been a key part of our commitment to sustainable design. Laurie has also taken a lead role in our lighting design efforts and assists in the management of our MEP BIM team. Congratulations to Laurie for her well-deserved promotion to Director at TBA.

Congratulations Bryan, Cole, and Laurie!
